PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pharmaceutical composition having excellent lipid lowering actions and suppressing effects on arteriosclerosis progression. SOLUTION: This pharmaceutical composition is designed to separately administer an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor and a cyclobutene derivative having formula (I) [wherein, R<1> and R<2> are each an aryl, or the like; R<3> and R<4> are each hydrogen atom, or the like; A is a group having formula (A-1) (wherein R<5> is hydrogen atom, or the like; R<6> is an amine residue, or the like; X and Y are each oxygen atom, or the like; and Z is a single bond, or the like); G is an alkylene group, or the like; D is carbon atom and E is a group having N-O when the broken line is a double bond; and D is a group having CH, or the like, and E is a group having NH, or the like, when the broken line is a single bond], a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, an ester thereof or other derivatives, simultaneously or at a time interval.
