PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horn device for an automobile, allowing sounds showing thanks to be issued at a proper timing without giving surprises to automobile passengers or walkers. SOLUTION: An auxiliary electric circuit 5 having an auxiliary switch 12 and a short-time current-carrying device 6 to be actuated by pressing the auxiliary switch 12 is provided in parallel to a main electric circuit 2 for a main horn switch 11 so that a horn 3 sounds for a short time only if the auxiliary switch 12 is kept pressed.
