METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COLOR FILTER NOT EQUIPPED WITH BLACK MATRIX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a color filter not equipped with a black matrix, enlarging a substrate area used as pixels by removing all beads present in the peripheral and corner parts of the substrate in forming markers for confirming the position of color pixels simultaneously with formation of the color pixels using the same colored resin as that used for formation of the color pixels. SOLUTION: The beads of the colored resin formed on the peripheral parts are dissolved and removed just after the application of the colored resin on the substrate. The beads 3' of the colored resin remaining in the corner parts of the substrate are dissolved, removed and development is performed just before or just after exposure of the markers for orienting the color pixels on the inside of the substrate away from the width of the beads of the colored resin.
