PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat resistant base film capable of giving a magnetic recording-medium excellent in durability, whereby a good magnetic- transformation property is kept for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This aramid film is composed of an aromatic polyamide, wherein a number of peaks having a height from a flat plane of the film of 20 nm or above and below 50 nm, is 50,000 or above and 1,000,000 or below pieces/mm<2> , the number of peaks having the height of 50 nm or above and below 100 nm is 30,000 or above and 200,000 or below pieces/mm<2> , and the number of large peaks having the height of 270 nm or above is 50,000 pieces/100 cm<2> or below. |
