PURPOSE: An overpressure-safety valve system of a pressure vessel is provided to prevent explosion of a pressure vessel by making overpressure gas discharged through the open space between a mounting cup and a stem, and to simplify the assembly process by installing a spring and a sealer on the outer periphery of a stem. CONSTITUTION: An overpressure-safety valve system of a pressure vessel forming a coupling unit(11) fixing a valve body to the middle part of a mounting cup(10) comprises a housing(17), a stem(13), sealers(19), an upper spring(15), a lower spring(18), and gaskets(12). The upper part of the housing is open and a gas inlet(20) is formed to the lower part. The housing forms a projection for fitting on the inner periphery. The stem is installed in the housing and an orifice(16) for inflow of gas in the housing is formed to a side of the stem. The sealer opening and shutting the orifice shuts off gas discharge, with closely adhered to the projection for fitting of the housing. The upper spring is elastically supported between the sealer and the mounting cup. The lower spring elastically supports the stem upward. The gasket shuts the gap of the upper end of the housing and the mounting cup tightly. The sealer is raised up and space is formed, and therefore, overpressure gas is discharged outside through the open space between the mounting cup and stem.
