PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for slicing bread and a bread slicer capable of maintaining bread sliced surfaces parallel without a curve. SOLUTION: Plural endless blades B are wounded around drums D1 and D2 with crossed in middle and are driven at a same speed in opposite directions each other by motors N, M respectively. Consequently, same tension is generated on the endless blade B in a traveling process 4 of a tension side of the drum D2 and a traveling process 5 of a slack side of the drum D2 to prevent curve and twist of a sliced surface of bread.
