METHOD FOR MOLDING LEADFRAME

PURPOSE: A method for molding a leadframe is provided to eliminate the necessity for preparing a separate mold for a standard or inverted leadframe, by molding the standard leadframe and the inverted leadframe through a mold. CONSTITUTION: A cavity(9) having predetermined volume is formed in the upper portion of a bottom mold(8). A top mold(6) having a cavity(7) smaller than that of the bottom mold is formed on the bottom mold toward the lower portion of the bottom mold. A mold is composed of the bottom mold and the top mold. In the case of the standard leadframe, the standard leadframe is inserted into the mold as it is. In the case of the inverted leadframe, the inverted leadframe is inserted into the mold after the mold is rotated by 180 degrees or so.
