NITROUS OXIDE DECOMPOSING CATALYST, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR AND METHOD OF DECOMPOSING NITROUS OXIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrous oxide decomposing catalyst hardly affected by a volatile anesthetic contained in an excess anesthetic gas and capable of recovering the activity by activating and regenerating even if suffering deterioration and suppressing the generating quantity of NOx to below the allowable concentration, a manufacturing method thereof and a method of decomposing nitrous oxide. SOLUTION: Nitrous oxide is decomposed by using the catalyst formed by supporting at least one of novel metal selected from rhodium, ruthenium and palladium on a support selected from silica or silica alumina.
