PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to thaw rapidly and suppress contamination of bacteria caused by penetration of water drops to a culture vessel during thawing of animal cells frozen in the culture vessel. SOLUTION: Animal cells are thawed by housing a culture vessel in a water impermeable bag, dip the whole culture vessel with the bag into 1-37 deg.C water and warming the vessel.
