PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply measure the weight of and the number of steps taken by a wearer by providing pieces of footwear of daily use with the functions of scales and a pedometer. SOLUTION: A piece of footwear 10 comprises a footwear body 12 and scales 14. A recess 18 is formed at the heel part 16 of the footwear body 12. The scales 14 is detachably inserted into the recess 18. The scales 14 has functions of measuring weight and adding up the number of times when the load is applied to the scales. The scales 14 is equipped with a pressure sensor measuring the load applied to the heel part 16, a liquid crystal displays 20 and 22 showing the magnitude of the load and the number of times of the load applied and a control means to generate the relevant data. The pressure sensor measures the scalar of the load and the number of times of the load applied. |
