PURPOSE: A next generation asynchronous mobile communication system for data service roaming between synchronous IMT-2000(International Mobile Telecommunications-2000) and asynchronous IMT-2000, is provided to allow the provision of a packet data service, if a communication network subscriber in the synchronous(asynchronous) IMT-2000 performs roaming to a different system asynchronous(synchronous) IMT-2000. CONSTITUTION: A base station(31) performs wireless communication with a subscriber terminal. A base station controller(32) controls the base station(31). A mobile switch center(33) connected to the base station controller(32) configures a speech path of the subscriber and performs switching with other mobile switch systems or access to another communication network. A packet data access node(34) connected to the mobile switch center(33) is for data communication interworking with an external packet network. An HLR(Home Location Register,35) connected to the packet data access node(34) integrally manages information of asynchronous type subscribers associated with a data service and is responsible for authentication. A charging gateway(36) connected to the packet data access node(34) is responsible for charging. And an authentication/charging gateway(40) interworks with the HLR(35) and charging gateway(36), integrally manages information of synchronous type subscribers associated with the data service, and interworks with an integrated server performing authentication and charging. |
