Metal filings are stored for future recycling inside a container (1) comprising a cylinder (4) made from sheet metal, provided with a base (5) and sealable cover (2). The container is cast from the same metal material as the filings intended for collection in it. TECHNOLOGY FOCUS - MECHANICAL ENGINEERING - PREFERRED FEATURES : A hydraulic device is used to compact the filings inside the container. A centrifuge is used to rotate the container in order to separate lubricant oil and cutting fluid out through holes in the side. |
