PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an operation according to the operating state of a presser lever for raising and falling a presser foot in the adaptation of a structure for opening a tension disc in interlocking to the installation of a needle thread cassette to a cassette installation part to guide the tread and then closing the tension disc. SOLUTION: The cassette installation part 3 including a balance moving area is formed, on the arm head of a sewing machine in a vertical groove shape, and the needle thread cassette 2 vertically containing a bobbin 62 is attachable to and detachable from the cassette installation part 3. The needle thread cassette 2 is interlocked with the tension disc 133 by an interlocking mechanism 134 comprising a cam part 137 on the back part of the needle thread cassette 2, a cam driven member 138, a rotating arm 151, a working plate 139 and the like. The interlocking mechanism 134 is independent from and parallel to a mechanism for opening and closing the tension disc 133 by the presser lever 29.
