<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head which is regulatable to the optimum strength, bending quantity and repulsion in the face section while suppressing a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A rear surface 42 of a face section 4 of the golf club head 1 is provided with a plurality of concentric circle shape grooved portions 51, 52 and 53 and the depths of the respective grooved portions and the respective spacings between the grooved portions are properly regulated. When the depths of the respective grooved portions at the respective arbitrary points are defined as D1, D2 and D3 successively from the inner peripheral surfaces, the depths of the grooved portions are made the shallower the nearer to the inner peripheral parts and the deeper the nearer to the outer peripheral parts by setting the depths of the respective grooved portions at the relation D1<D2<D3. The golf club head is so formed that score lines 6 existing at a clubface 41 and the respective grooved portions existing on the rear surface 42 do not overlap each other.</p> |
