PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blank material capable of excellently forming a two-ply product without causing a crack. SOLUTION: The blank material 1' to form the two-ply product 1 which overlaps a metallic platy component 3 on the main body 2 of a metallic product is constituted by splicing second plate material 3' which turns to a platy component to first plate material 2' to be a product main body and, bulging and forming the first plate material under the conditions to bind the outer edge portion of the first plate material, the two-ply product is formed by forming the second plate material under unconstrained conditions. By this way, notches 3'b are formed on a specified region 3'a of the second plate material which causes material shrinkage at the time of forming.
