METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably manufacturing a hollow fiber membrane having uniform pores and giving the desired permeated flux and separation characteristics while the heating equipment is made small in size, the manufacturing efficiency is enhanced and the manufacturing cost is reduced. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the hollow fiber membrane comprises a hot drawing step to draw the hollow fiber obtained by spinning a melted resin while heating the hollow fiber in a steam atmosphere. When a crystalline polymer is used as the resin, the hollow fiber is preferably drawn while being heated to the temperature lower than the melting point of the crystalline polymer by 5-40 deg.C at the hot drawing step.
