PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing denaturation of a protein caused by environmental stress such as heat and renaturing the denatured protein. SOLUTION: This invention relates to FKBP type PPIase of 17-18 kDa derived from Methanococcus jannaschii, a method for renaturing a denatured protein by using the PPIase and a method for suppressing denaturation of a protein by using the PPIase.
