摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a groove method and a cutting method by which a ground work with a slit or a cutting face of a smooth flat face is obtained, while preventing damage and/or lateral runout of a grindstone caused when the work such as artificial marble, artificial tooth roots and artificial bones of which the raw material is resin containing an inorganic filler is cut off or grooved using the grindstone of 0.01 to 0.1 mm in thickness. SOLUTION: A diamond grain electrocasting metal bond wheel 3 of 0.01 to 0.1 mm in thickness that rotates at 2500 to 4000 min<-1> (15 to 45 m/sec in the peripheral velocity V2 of a work face) is brought into contact with the face of the work 2 fixed on a reciprocating table 4 of a grinder via a buffer 31. The work is cut off at a depth setting speed V1 of 0.01 to 1 mm/min with the grindstone brought into contact with the work face at a right angle and at a high-speed reversing speed with the reciprocating table reversed at 180 to 400 strokes/min (3 to 8 m/min in table feed rate V3).
