PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge-treating method for treating sludge discharged from a water treatment plant. SOLUTION: To a mixture of soil and sludge which is prepared by adding the sludge to the soil generated at a construction site or a public works site at a rate of at most 30 Wt.% to the mixture and mixing it with stirring is added 0.07 to 0.1 wt.% of a water-soluble polymer containing carboxyl group, and mixed and stirred gently, and then a solidifying material consisting of powdered quick lime or the like is added and mixed.
