PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag filter for treating high temperature exhaust gas which uses glass fiber filtering cloth, with which dust does not fuse even when used in a high temperature condition of >=700 deg.C and which has a long life. SOLUTION: An uniform coating film of chromium oxide (Cr2 O3 ) is formed on a surface of the glass fiber cloth constituting the filtering cloth and the formed film works both as a dust exfoliating agent and as an adhering preventing agent of fused ash. Further a coating film which works as a lubricant between glass fibers is formed on the formed chromium oxide coating film by utilizing fine powder of zinc flower (ZnO) to obtain the bag filter for treating high temperature exhaust gas.
