INDICATOR FOR IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION AND AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM USING THE INDICATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indicator for identification information, applicable for identifying a subject such as genuineness of commodities and hardly forgeable or copiable, and to provide an authentication system using the indicator. SOLUTION: The indicator for identification information, fixed a digitally signalized base sequence data of DNA for specifying an individual on the fixture thereof is set on an identifying subject, the data of the indicator is read with a reading device and the read data are comparatively verified with reference data to identify the identifying subject. The base sequence data may be a combination of repeated times of a short tandem repeat(STR) in the DNA base sequence. The fixture may be a two-dimensional bar code or one of an IC comprehensive media such as an RFID tag or an IC card. The reading device may be a scanner if the fixture is the two-dimensional bar code or may be a read writer if the fixture is one of the IC comprehensive media.
