<p>Appts. for inducing an advancing motion is sufficiently variable amplitude to a band of material, e.g a steel strip (straightened or not) in the work direction using a conveyor with grips. The rectilinear advancing motion of the band produced by a carrier of the grip conveyor is converted by devices into a (partially) circular motion to be transmitted to a second carrier which is part of the advancing mechanism. The transformation of rectilinear forward motion into circular motion is accomplished by an articulated rod which has its free end kinetically linked to the advance mechanism by an eccentric plate which can be regulated. Advantages include greater simplicity and more ontrol. The amplitude is directly proportional to the forward motion of the grips.</p> |
