<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a distance of a lightweight golf club shaft and to suppress the vibration and impact transmitted to a player in impact so as to make a feeling better. SOLUTION: The golf club shaft consisting of a laminate of fiber reinforced prepregs is constituted by using the fiber reinforced prepregs which are formed by laminating dipole conversion materials of >=1.0 in loss tangent (tanδ) at 10 deg.C within a range of >=1 to <=27 g and are formed of carbon fibers of 30 to 80 tonf/mm<2> of tensile modulus as reinforcing fibers at a ratio of >=50 wt.% of the total weight of the shaft before coating. The flexural modulus (EI) value in the range of 30% of the overall length of the shaft from the grip (BUTT) side end of the shaft is specified to 4 to 10 kg.cm<2> and the total weight of the shaft before coating is specified to 35 to 70 g.</p> |
