PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To faciltate a view of the tip of a bit, improve workability and enable use in a restrictive place by reducing the thickness of an operating cylinder of a socket. SOLUTION: A tip portion of a tool shaft 1 has the socket 2 to which the bit 9 is removably attachable. An operation of the operating cylinder 5 of the socket 2 can allow a sphere 7 set in a through hole 6 in a side portion 18 of a fixed cylinder 4 inside the operating cylinder 5 to move into or out of the fixed cylinder 4, to thereby attach or detach the bit 9 to or from the fixed cylinder 4. Locking portions 21 and 22 for sphere dislodgment prevention are formed on both ends of the through hole 6.
