PURPOSE: A method of automatically connecting a taxi using a voice recognition device and a communication network is provided to call a taxi by using a mobile phone, and to connect to a central control center of a service provider, so that the central control center knows a location of a customer and transmits information on an empty taxi to the customer, thereby enabling the customer to select the empty taxi by automatically connecting to the taxi. CONSTITUTION: A customer has access to a central control center. The central control center asks the customer a destination(S120). The customer informs the center of the destination(S130). The center tracks an originating location of the customer by using a customer tracking database(S140). The center stores the location information(S150). The center selects an empty taxi nearest to a location of the customer, and delivers the destination information and the location information of the customer to a car navigation device of the taxi(S170). The car navigation device displays map information having the customer's location information in a display(S180). A taxi driver confirms the information, and informs the center of whether or not the taxi moves to the customer(S190). The center tracks information on scheduled arrival time, color and number of the taxi by calculating an optimum path up to the customer's location, to store the information, and extracts the customer's telephone number to deliver the number to a terminal of the customer(S200). The taxi inputting the customer information from the center moves to the customer's location(S230).
