<p>1278276 Transistor amplifiers OWENS-ILLINOIS Inc 28 Aug 1969 [28 Aug 1968] 42864/69 Heading H3T In a transistor amplifying circuit providing a high voltage for a gas discharge memory device, a phase splitter Q1 feeds push-pull amplifiers Q2-Q4, Q5-Q7 driving amplifiers 13, 14 which output stages Q9A-Q12A, Q9B-Q12B comprising push-pull complementary emitter followers and which are connected between earth and supply voltages of opposite polarity. The circuit shown may be integrated and provides a substantially distortionless output in spite of the nonlinear load. Negative feedback paths 78-81, 78<SP>1</SP>-81<SP>1</SP> and capacitors 82, 82<SP>1</SP> reduce distortion. Temperature compensating diodes are liberally provided. Transistors Q3, Q4, Q6, Q7, Q9A-Q12B operate in the class B mode. The bias levels of amplifiers 13, 14 are set by variable resistors, e.g. 90, and are maintained constant by transistors Q13A, Q13B. A plurality of amplifiers similar to 13, 14 may be driven in parallel from push-pull amplifiers Q2-Q4, Q5-Q7 (Fig. 1, not shown).</p> |
