<p>A lighting unit (1) comprises a housing (2) in which are mounted illumination means (3) and an integral remotely controlled switch (4). The illumination means (3) comprises fluorescent tubes and suitable fittings for mounting the tubes. The housing (2) of the lighting unit (1) is adapted for mounting on a wall, ceiling or other such fixture. The remotely controllable switch (4) is capable of receiving a signal from a remote control unit for turning the illumination means on and off.</p> |
