PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting method and a clamp which enable avoiding decrease in the fastening force of hoses, due to the increase in pressure of fluid flowing through a hose or the like. SOLUTION: While inserting a hose 10 or the like into a connecting part 22 of connecting members 20 and disposing a clamp 30 inside the hose 10 or the like, the hose 10 or the like is fastened with the connecting part 22 by the elastic restoring force in the direction in which a clamp diameter of the clamp 30 is increased. The clamp 30 consists predominantly of an almost annular clamp part 31. The clamp part 31 is elastically deformably formed, in a direction in which a clamp diameter 31D is decreased.
