<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and effective therapeutic agent for chronic hepatitis C. SOLUTION: The therapeutic agent for chronic hepatitis C contains, as an active ingredient,α-[4-(4-chlorbenzoylaminoethyl)phenoxy]isobutyric acid represented by formula (1) or its pharmacologically acceptable salt. The compound has an improving effect on hepatic function and an inhibitory effect against HCV multiplication, and is useful as a therapeutic agent for chronic hepatitis C.</p> |
