PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the rolled foils of a capacitor element that gets out of position and a space between an anode wire and a cathode wire that varies, due to the fact that the separator is decreased in density, when the capacitor element is thermally treated at temperatures of 150 to about 300 deg.C, before the capacitor element is impregnated with electrolyte for the formation of an electrolytic capacitor which is formed through a process, in which an anode foil on which a dielectric film is formed and an opposed cathode foil are rolled into the capacitor element, interposing a separator in between, and the capacitor element is impregnated with a solid or liquid electrolyte for the formation of the electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: The separator is formed of heat-resistant paper whose main component is aramid (aromatic polyamide) fibers.
