PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing an aqueous crosslinking composition which is used for an intercoating and/or a topcoat base coating for an automobile, can improve both the storage stability of a coating material and the characteristics of a coating film such as weatherability, solvent resistance, water resistance, interlaminar adhesion, etc., image sharpness, smoothness, etc., and can be used for three coatings/one baking in particular. SOLUTION: The aqueous crosslinking composition consists of an aqueous film-forming carbonyl-containing resin comprising an aqueous polycarbonyl compound (a), an amino resin, and an alkali component, wherein the amino resin and the alkali component are mixed beforehand in the production of the composition. |
