摘要 A measuring instrument for accurately measuring the error rate of transmission of a data signal, the jitter, and the wander due to data signal transmission by using a clock signal undergoing little internal occurrence of loss and phase fluctuation and extracted from the inputted data signal. A bandpass filter extracts a signal component having the same frequency as that of the clock signal to be reproduced from the inputted data signal. A binarizing circuit binarizes the extracted signal component with a predetermined threshold and outputs the binarized signal component as a reproduction clock signal. The binarizing circuit binarizes the signal outputted for the period during which the data signal of the same sign continues, if occurs, by the relaxation vibration in the bandpass filter so as to supplement the loss of the clock signal during the period. A calculation module calculates at least of the error rate, the jitter, and the wander from the reproduction clock signal from the binarizing circuit.
