摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure tensile force and compressive force with high sensitivity by using an FBG (optical fiber Bragg diffraction grating) which has uniform grating intervals. SOLUTION: This sensor is equipped with a strain-measuring member 14, having a strain measuring region 14a, an optical fiber 10 fixed on the strain- measuring region, and the FBG having uniform grating intervals, and formed in one section in a center axisαdirection of the optical fiber. The FBG is arranged in the strain-measuring region, so that the directions of the center axis of one end and the other end of its forming section, namely, the start end and the finishing end of the FBG, are orthogonal to each other, and is arranged and fixed, so as to have a quarterly arc shape in the section. When a tensile force is applied, the grating intervals of the FBG become nonuniform, and since the band width of a reflected wave is widened, the tensile force can be measured by the change of the band width.
