PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a coil, by which an insulation lead wire can be accurately and easily wound around a coil support body. SOLUTION: A long coil support body 4 is inserted in a supporting cylindrical body, in which a first slit 2a is made on a circumferential wall along the axial line direction, and an insulation lead wire 5 is supplied between the outer circumferential surface of the coil support body 4 and the inner circumferential surface of the supporting cylindrical body 2, by means of the first slit 2a, and then the coil support body 4 is relatively turned with respect to the supporting cylindrical body 2, thereby winding the insulation lead wire 5 around the outer circumference of the coil support body 4 and make a coil 6.
