PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system using a wireless device such as a PHS phone or the like. SOLUTION: A communication system comprises antennas 2, 3; a controller 1 which stores PHS phone numbers and administrates IP addresses of the antennas 2, 3; an H. 323 terminal 5; and a gatekeeper 4 for administrating an IP address of the H. 323 terminal 5. These components are connected to LAN 20 to establish communication. In order to have the IP address of the PHS phone comply with VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol), the controller 1 replaces the IP address of the H. 323 terminal sent from the gatekeeper 4 with that of the antenna and transfers the data. Likely, the controller 1 also replaces the IP address transmitted by the PHS phone via the antenna with the IP address of the H. 323 terminal 5 and transfers the data to the gatekeeper 4, and performs the protocol conversion between the PHS protocol and the VoIP protocol.
