PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compensating method of feed control quantity by which the optimal feed control quantity is calculated even when a starting load is changed from when standard acceleration and deceleration control algorithm is set by deviation of dimension, etc., of mechanical component to be used for feed. SOLUTION: Time information (1) 21 at a position in which optical pickup is transferred from a position of the innermost circumference track to the direction of outer circumference of an optical disk 1 for prescribed time is acquired, difference A24 between the time information (1) 21 and reference time information (3) 23 is calculated, difference B25 between time information (2) 22 acquired by performing the above processing operation at a setting stage of the standard acceleration and deceleration control algorithm and the reference time information (3) 23 is calculated and ratio between the difference A24 and the difference B25 is multiplied by the feed control quantity.
