PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity storing device for an automatic vending machine capable of positively storing a commodity in a proper sideways attitude. SOLUTION: In the commodity storing device 1 for the automatic vending machine, a plurality of commodities S loaded from above in sideways states are stored sideways in a vertically stacked state. It is provided with two vertically extended passage walls mutually facing each other with an interval in between and partitioning a commodity passage 2 storing the plurality of commodities S, and a buffer member 21 attached to at least one of the two passage walls in a state forwardly descending toward an interior of the commodity passage 2 and comprising a plate spring for decelerating the commodities S and controlling falling attitudes of the commodities S by contact of falling commodities S from above in loading.
