PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leak measuring method, capable of shortening the measurement time which determines the state of leakage, out of a measured object. SOLUTION: According to this leakage measuring method for determining the state of fluid leaking out of the measured object 4, the state of leak is determined, by comparing the change characteristic of the amount of leakage out of the object 4 in the early stage of the leakage with a referential change characteristic. The change characteristic of the amount o leakage and the referential change characteristics are expressed by numerical values found, for example, by integrating the amount of leakage out of the object 4 in the early stage of the leakage. The referential change characteristic has an upper measurement limit value or a lower measurement limit value, with respect to the above change characteristic.
