APPARATUS FOR MEASURING WATER-CEMENT RATIO OF FRESH CONCRETE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an apparatus for measuring the water-cement ratio of fresh concrete by a densimeter method in which the work time of measurement is shortened while enhancing the accuracy of measurement. SOLUTION: The apparatus for measuring the water-cement ratio comprises a tray 4 provided around the neck part 3 of a triangular flask 1. The tray 4 is formed as a substantially V-shaped shallow pan-like container provided with an elliptical hole 5 in the middle of the V-shaped bottom. The hole 5 is fitted over the neck part 3, the tray 4 is inclined until the hole 5 touches the neck part 3 and then the gap at the contact part is sealed with a sealant 6 thus securing the tray 4 liquidtightly and securely to the neck part 3. When water containing a chemical admixture for suspending cement (liquid A) is poured fully into the flask 1, the tray 4 discharges the liquid A flowing over the flask 1 by inclination so that it can be collected into a container on the outside of the flask.
