PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of generating steam by which a large quantity of steam can be obtained inexpensively. SOLUTION: In the method of generating steam, a plurality of boilers 10 provided with boiler main bodies 11 and combustors 14 is caused to generate equal pressure steam by collectively automatically controlling the boilers 10 by means of a boiler controller 3 linked to the water supply pumps 13 and combustors 14 of the boilers 10 after the water sections and steam sections of the boilers 10 are made to communicate with each other.
