PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device capable of maintaining a second member in a blocked condition for a first member without using a blocking device to dispense with a troublesome lock release operation and giving resistance to turn the operation even at a position before closing to reduce a shock caused when closing very satisfactorily. SOLUTION: This hinge device is constituted such that a pivotal shaft 6 of a second connection body 5 is turnably pivoted to a bearing part of a first connection body 3 to be connected with the first member 1 or the second member 2, a pressure contact part 7 is provided to generate resistance in the turn operation of the pivotal shaft 6 by a pressure contact force of the pressure contact part 7 and a receive part 8, and the pressure contact part 7 comes into pressure contact with the receive part 8 at a position before the second member 2 is overlapped and blocked for the first member 1 to generate turn resistance in the pivotal shaft 6 or it comes into pressure contact with the receive part 8 when opening the first member 1 and the second member 2 in a condition in which they are overlapped and blocked to generate the turn resistance in the pivotal shaft 6.
