<p>The inventors propose the combination of a selective COX-2 inhibitor and cystine first, for the treatment of anti-viral diseases, including HIV, immuno-compromised individuals, AIDS and hepatitis C; second, for the treatment of atherosclerosis and related atherosclerosis vascular disease states, coronary ischemic syndrome, thrombosis, and related vascular problems (atherosclerosis and these latter problems collectively referred to as 'vascular-associated disease'), third, for the treatment of cancer and fourth, to alleviate 5-hydroxy tryptamine (5-HT) mediated mechanisms by at least relieving inflammatory symptoms, through regulation of cytokine activated responses, including migraine and migraine-like conditions, and to ameliorate neurodegenerative diseases aggravated by inflammatory condition and carotidynia. An HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor may be added to enhance the combination. Magnesium sulfate or similar compound is proposed to be added to enhance the treatment of neurodegenerative conditions.</p> |
