PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a timing pulse rapidly after switching a photography mode, since pulse information corresponding to each photography mode is retained by a register. SOLUTION: Pulse information is retained in plural resistors provided in TG/SG 18. The pulse information includes an inverted position, first- and second- half pulse width, and the number of times of inversion, and is required for generating the timing pulses, corresponding to each photography mode. When a CPU 30 receives selection for a different photographing mode, the pulse information, corresponding to the received photography mode, is selected at TG/SG 18. The timing pulse is generated based on the selected pulse information.
