The present invention refers to a pair of nut crackers intended to be used for cracking different types of nuts without distroying the core and in which a nut (6) can be pressed between at least two pressure surfaces (4, 5), which are intended to be pressed towards each other and located in a cylinder formed housing (2), at least one of said pressure surfaces is movable in a direction towards the other and the nut (6). The first pressure surface (4) is formed on a piston (28) in the cylinder (3), said piston is intended to be pressed in a direction towards the other pressure surface (5) by pressing together two handles (12, 13), symmetrically located and pivoted in the housing (2), said handles in turn are by aid of two link arms (16, 17) pivoted directly to the piston (28) or via a piston rod (18) for activation of the same in transmitting of a pressure force towards a nut (6) placed between the pressing surfaces (4, 5) at the same time as the other pressure surface (5) is adjustably fixed to the bottom portion (7) of the housing (2) in a direction towards said firs pressure surface (4).
