PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which is able to specify a source based on oscillation patterns, an signal arrival notification control program, and a computer-readable recording medium with the program recorded thereon. SOLUTION: The portable terminal 100 is provided with a memory part 203 and an oscillation control part 204b. A user management table where telephone numbers to specify a source are identified with ringing tone data for generating ringing tones are kept stored in memory part 203. When receiving a notification of incoming-signal detection from a radio communication part 202, a control part 201 retrieves the memory part 203 by using a telephone number included in the incoming-signal as a retrieval key to output ringing tone data corresponding to the telephone number to the oscillation control part 204b. The oscillation control part 204b generates an oscillation pattern based on the ringing tone data supplied from the control part 201, and supplies an output signal based on the generated oscillation pattern to a vibrator 206 to control the oscillation.
