PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately collect a filament yarn sample continuously, when collecting filament yarn, while measuring its length. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a movable main gripper 1 for gripping the filament yarn 10, an auxiliary gripper 2 for transferring the filament yarn 10 with respect to the main gripper 1, and a feeder 18 for feeding the filament yarn 10. The filament yarn 10 is gripped by the main ripper 1, a prescribed tension is applied to the filament yarn 10 between the main gripper 1 and the feeder 18, and the filament yarn sample of a fixed length is cut out to be collected, in the device for continuous collecting of the sample of the fixed length.
