PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion-resistant martensitic stainless steel which is naturally usable under environments containing humid carbon dioxide and humid hydrogen sulfide, enables the production of a seamless steel tube having an outer diameter to 20 inches or higher, and has excellent hot workability and weldability. SOLUTION: The low Mo type corrosion-resistant martensitic stainless steel has a composition containing, by weight, <=0.02% C, 0.1 to 0.3% Si, 0.1 to 0.3% Mn, <=0.02% P, <=0.002% S, 10 to 14% Cr, 0.5 to 5.0% Ni, 0.1 to 1.5% Mo and <=0.02% N, and the balance substantially Fe with inevitable impurities, and in which the total contents of C+N satisfies 0.02 to 0.04%.
