PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform recording/reproducing at a normal high disk rotational speed without reducing the disk rotational speed even when a low quality disk is loaded on a driving device. SOLUTION: An acceleration sensor 26 detects vibration acceleration on a rotary chassis 8, and enters a detecting signal to a CPU 27. In the CPU 27, the rotational direction of the rotary chassis 8 is changed based on the polarity of the detecting signal of the acceleration sensor 26. That is, when the axis line of the center shaft of a disk is set as a focusing direction, the acceleration sensor 26 detects the vibration of the focusing direction of the rotary chassis 8, and rotates the rotary chassis 8 according to the detected signal. Accordingly, an optical pickup 2 is moved in the focusing direction, and the vibration of the rotary chassis 8 is reduced.
