PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to inhibit wrong erasure of an adjacent track even if a magnetic head is deviated from a target track due to impacts and vibrations in recording data. SOLUTION: The disk device is provided with a means 10 for driving an actuator 7 for positioning the magnetic head 2, a voltage detection means 11 for detecting a voltage signal Va generated in driving the actuator 7, a disturbance estimation means 12 for estimating a size of a disturbance load applied to the magnetic head 2 from a driving signal u and the voltage signal Va and outputting a disturbance estimation signalτdest , a position detection means 13 for generating a position error signal e corresponding to the present position of the head 2, a position control means 14 for generating a control signal c from the position error signal e, a correction means 15 for outputting a driving signal u from the disturbance estimation signalτdest and the control signal c, a disturbance monitoring means 18 for outputting a change-over signal t when the disturbance estimation signal exceeds a prescribed value, and a recording inhibition means 17 for inhibiting recording by the head according to the change-over signal t.
