PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CDMA base station unit for communicating with a mobile station by a spread signal using an adaptive array antenna in which transmission is performed while reducing interference in the direction of a low spread rate path signal at the time of multirate service. SOLUTION: At the time of transmitting a spread signal to the opposite mobile station unit by imparting a transmission weight ωi' to each of a plurality of antennas Ai having a function for transmitting a spread signal using a plurality of spread rates thereby controlling the directivity of the entire antenna, a transmission weight control means Z determines a transmission weight ωi' for transmitting a desired path signal under such conditions as the transmission strength is minimized in the relevant direction by preferentially taking account of the direction of a low spread rate path signal other than the desired path signal. |
